Kerry Bog Village Museum

Kerry Bog Village Museum

The Kerry Bog Village Museum is a small village depicting farm life in the 18th and 19th centuries. These were the days before electrification, central heating, tractors and running water. Come into the thatched cottages and see how they were furnished and how people lived. Enter the blacksmith's forge and see how they worked and the tools they used.

On your visit, you will also see some Kerry Bog Ponies, a rare breed, and also some of Ireland's largest dog breed: The Irish Wolfhound. Enjoy an Irish Coffee after your tour, or have a snack in the nearby Red Fox Inn.

The Kerry Bog Village is located on the N70, 8km south west of Killorglin on the Ring of Kerry route.
